Terms & Conditions for Lion Rentals Storage Service

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the agreement between you ("Customer" or "you") and Lion Rentals Limited ("we," "us," or "our") for the storage services provided by Lion Rentals. By purchasing our storage service, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Description

Disclaimer: Lion Rentals Limited is a fully independent entity and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorized by, or in any way officially connected to The Pennsylvania State University or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates. The names “Lion Rentals” and “Lion Storage” are solely used to represent the services provided by Lion Rentals Limited, which independently offers storage and transportation solutions to college students in the State College and Middletown areas.

1.1 Lion Rentals provides a storage service designed for Penn State students to securely store personal belongings during the summer break.

1.2 Our service includes:

Pickup: Retrieval of your items from your designated location.

Storage: Safe and secure storage of your belongings for the agreed-upon 4-month period.

Delivery: Return of your items to your specified location at the end of the storage period.

1.3 Storage facilities are monitored and maintained to ensure the safety and security of stored items.

2. Booking and Payment

2.1 Booking:

To book our storage service, visit our website or contact us directly.

You are responsible for providing accurate details about the number, size, and nature of the items to be stored, as well as pickup and delivery information.

2.2 Payment:

Full payment is required at the time of booking.

Payments can be made through our website or other methods specified during checkout.

All payments are non-refundable after the cancellation period (see Section 5).

2.3 Pricing:

Prices are clearly stated on our website or in promotional materials.

Once booked, the price is locked in for the reservation period (May 1st - August 25th 2025).

2.4 Communication Requirements:

Customers must confirm the drop-off location and time by August 24th. Failure to provide this information will result in your items being charged a late fee, and failure to pick up your items from us by August 25th will result in your items being charged a late fee and/or discarded, with no refund provided.

3. Pickup and Delivery

3.1 Pickup:

You must be present at the mutually agreed pickup time and location with all items ready for storage.

Items must be securely packed to avoid damage during transit.

3.2 Delivery:

Delivery will occur at the agreed location and time at the end of the storage period.

You are required to be available at the agreed delivery time and location.

3.3 Handling:

While Lion Rentals takes reasonable care in handling your items, we are not responsible for damage caused by improper packaging, fragile items, or items prohibited under these Terms.

3.4 Missed Appointments:

Missed pickup or delivery appointments may incur additional fees and rescheduling charges.

4. Storage Period

4.1 Duration: The storage period begins on the pickup date and ends on the delivery date.

4.2 Extensions:

To extend the storage period, you must contact us at least 48 hours before the scheduled delivery date.

Additional fees may apply for extended storage periods.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

5.1 Refund Eligibility:

Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup date are eligible for a full refund.

No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup date.

5.2 Service Termination:

Lion Rentals reserves the right to terminate services for breach of these Terms or illegal activity, with no refund provided.

6. Liability

6.1 Limited Liability:

Lion Rentals is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to items caused by:

Improper or inadequate packaging.

Storage of prohibited or hazardous items.

Events outside of our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, fire, or theft.

6.2 Customer Responsibility:

You are responsible for ensuring that your items are properly packed and do not include prohibited items.

6.3 Insurance:

Lion Rentals does not provide insurance coverage for stored items. Customers are encouraged to secure their own insurance policy for valuable items.

7. Prohibited Items

You may not store the following:

Flammable, hazardous, or toxic materials.

Illegal items or substances.

Perishable goods.

Cash, jewelry, or items of high monetary or sentimental value.

Lion Rentals reserves the right to inspect and refuse any items suspected of violating these Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law principles.

9. Legal Action

9.1 Breach of Terms: Lion Rentals reserves the right to take legal action against individuals who breach these Terms.

9.2 Illegal Activities:

Customers found engaging in illegal activities will be reported to law enforcement, and appropriate legal action will be taken.

9.3 Reputational Damage: Actions that harm Lion Rentals' reputation may result in civil lawsuits seeking monetary compensation.

9.4 Dispute Resolution:

Disputes will be resolved amicably whenever possible. If unresolved, legal proceedings will be conducted under Pennsylvania state law.

10. Privacy

We collect and use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on our website.
